Introducing Wolf Milling Wax™…
the First Jewelry Wax Optimized for 3D Wax Milling Machine Use

The growing worldwide popularity of CAD-CAM directed 3D wax milling machines has demanded the development of a wax with a new set of properties. In this high RPM milling environment, toughness, ductility and the ability to clean-up easily are of primary importance.

Until recently, wax blenders had not been able to develop a wax formula which captured the special combination of needed physical properties listed above. Now there is a new wax that can deliver all those most desired milling wax properties and more… introducing Wolf Milling Wax™ by Ferris® the first wax fully optimized for 3D wax milling.

Prior to the introduction of Wolf Milling Wax™, available waxes were too brittle and frequently broke or chipped when milled into thin sections. Possessing the combination of high ductility plus toughness, Wolf Milling Wax™ can be readily milled into the thinnest of cross sections with the most intricate design details without breakage. The wax also generates minimal tool path residue, burns out completely with no ash residue and cleans-up easily. In addition to those properties, Wolf Milling Wax™ by Ferris® is also an excellent hand carving wax.

When milled, wax models produced from the new Wolf Milling Wax exhibit a gold-like color that is both easily read and helps customers visualize how the finished piece will look once cast.

Wolf Milling Wax™ by Ferris®
is available in many popular sizes of blocks, slices, bars and ring tubes. Custom shapes to fit any make of 3D wax milling machine can also be produced on a special order basis.
